summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 50)

This day DEFINITELY goes down as one of the BEST days of this summer. It all started when Whit and I decided that we wanted to take part in a progressive dinner with the purpose of yes eating good food but also getting to see one another's houses! So we came up with the idea and Carmen did all the rest. (i.e. pick the date, figured out who was hosting what, etc.) We started with brunch around 11 a.m. and ended with dessert. I believe we finally left Jess's around 10:30 that evening. It was SO fun. I know, I know, we are the coolest and you all want to try it. DO IT! You will not regret it. It was a fantastic day, with good food and great friends.

Brunch at Nicole's

Salad at Whitney's

Appetizer's at Indianapolis

Dinner at Carmen's
(Steak-roll up. GOODNESS!)

Dessert at Jessica's

Cream Puff Cake (YUMMY!)

Back to the bathroom. . .

I am in LOVE with the new "pink tile free" vanity and the great new faucet. It's so new and clean and beautiful!

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 47)

Mondays are my favorite day of the summer.
I made enchiladas. We drank diet coke.
Another fantastic Monday with my Monday night gal pals.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 46)

I have been wanting to try out Mrs. W's cake ball recipe for quite some time. Thankfully I had the opportunity to "test" it out on some "willing" suspects. I figured since the 4th of July was only a week earlier, we could still be a little patriotic. I have to say that my first attempt at making cake balls was somewhat successful. Next up: triple chocolate cake balls! YUM!

Russia vs. USA @ WSU

Too bad the Russians were victorious...

And yes, we played more hand and foot to end the evening.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 44)

The game of the summer is hands down Hand & Foot.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 43)

Needless to say this website is definitely a work in progress. . .

Should you ever want to know what's happening at the best school in the land, click here. As much as I hate to see summer draw to a close, I have to admit that I am beginning to look forward to the consistency of a schedule that school brings. Even as crazy and slightly ridiculous as that schedule can and will be.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 42)

To say that my mom and my aunt Judy are two peas in a pod might be the understatement of the century. I am blessed to have both of these women in my life. They make me laugh, they think I'm hilarious, they love Jesus, they love me, they both throw the BEST parties and have taught me how to do the same.

The "shower/bathtub" area started the day looking like this.

And ended the day looking like this.

Progress is happening people!

The bathroom is completely gutted. ICK!

In case you wanted one more look at the pink tile. . .

Oh and P.S. Happy 4th of July!

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 38)

I am blessed with some really great people in my life.
I am reminded of that every time I get to hang out with these two.

Disclaimer: (don't judge them by what they are wearing . . .)
This picture is actually from my tacky Christmas sweater party.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 37)

So my friend L has this unique cookbook. . .
with super good, super fun recipes in it.
So we had to test some of them out.
