Great friends. Great movie.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 29)

I went to my first ever quilt show with my mom and sister. I found a place in town where I can go and actually not see anyone I know, which was honestly a little bit weird. This line of fabric is by Moda, called Oz. It was love at first sight. I find fabric and say, "Mom, what can we make out of this?" And by "we" I mean, HER because she's a rock star and I can't even sew on a button. So this my friends is going to be some of the beautiful fabric in the quilt that my mom is going to make me. (And I love it so much that I might have convinced her to make me a purse out of it to.)

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 22)

Thursday night Vic and I hung out with little Miss Q-Lou.
Little Q-Lou is a doll face.
I love the conversations that Vic and I have.
Sure do love these two girlies!

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 21)

I took a little trip to the place that I called home for the majority of my life. This little village holds a special place in my heart. I love it so much because it always welcomes me home, even when I least expect it, even when I "forget" that I am truly alumni.

(and yes the top of the water tower is purple,
don't judge us!)

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 20)

Thanks to Tina there are beautiful flowers at Indianapolis.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 18)

so I'm like a week behind. . .
but have no fear, last week was a GOOD week!

I am blessed with some amazing friends and
fellowship that come together on Sunday nights.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 17)

There are some people in the world that have blessed my life, been used by God to shape me into the person I am today, some of those people have known me since birth, and others have come into my life further down the journey. These three adults have done just that. I met them the summer of 1997 and each time I am with them I am reminded at how the Lord truly does bring people into our lives for a season but sometimes we are fortunate enough for some of those relationships to span seasons.

S, J, and CW thank you. Thank you for taking the time to help an arrogant high school basketball player see Jesus. Thanks for continuing to be a part of my life even across the miles and as the years go by.

Leave it to CW to wear a silly Nebraska shirt to make me crazy in light of the shake-up's going on in the Big 12 right now. . .

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 16)

Oh nothing's sweeter than summertime
And American honey

An' he said: "I went sky diving,
I went rocky mountain climbing,
"I went two point seven seconds
on a bull named Fu Man Chu.
"And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter,
"And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying."
An' he said: "Some day,
I hope you get the chance,
"To live like you were dyin'."

We ride, never worry 'bout the fall.
I guess that's just the cowboy in us all.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 13)

Today I framed Paul Miller's WSU jersey.

It will be hanging up at my friend Sanders business.

Little J took all my calls.

I sure do love him.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 10)

I didn't leave my house.
I had a fever.
Not a single picture was taken.
On my way to feeling better.
I hate being sick.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 9)

Friday = National Donut Day!

We "celebrated" by ending a week of surprisingly productive curriculum development.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 8)

I am so sad that a week of the summer has already gone by. ZIP and it's gone. Can't complain, there's a whole lot of summer left to be enjoyed!

Tonight definitely goes in the good bucket.
Getting cute toes with friends and enjoying dinner afterwards.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 7)

Most of my days this week have actually been spent updating curriculum with some of the fabulous business teachers across the district. Call me crazy but as dreadful as it sounds, MOST of the people that I'm working on all this with, are absolutely wonderful.

KE and I have been friends for 13 years.

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 6)

This guy is playing baseball in Alaska all summer. . .
I shall miss him. (he's one of my favorites)

These girls are some of my most favorite little people.
They get SO excited at the mention of said baseball player so we had to pay them a visit.
.
I love this little lady!

summer of Mandy: 2010 (day 5)

Summer has officially been kicked off!

The result of LOTS of jello. (I just took pictures. J & L did ALL the work)

What is summer without FLIP-FLOPS?

Thank you summer! You are my favorite!
